Silica 350 mesh is the most common component used in ceramics glazes and clay bodies. This material gives ceramic glazes their glassy appearance. It is available in various mesh sizes from 30 mesh to 350 mesh.
It raises the melting point of glazes, and decreases thermal expansion. 

This is the premium grade of Eckalite. Also known as " China Clay " in some ceramic recipes. A primary clay which fires white in colour and is highly refractory. Eckalite 1 & 2 are regular sources of alumina and silica in glazes and also a component in many clay bodies where whiteness is desirable.

Nepheline Syenite is an excellent basis for glazes in the cone 4-6 range, also used in some cone 10 glazes. 

Zircosil 5 Micron Opacifier - A very fine version of zirconium silicate, a 6-9% addition produces semi-opaque glazes.

Gerstley borate is a calcium borate ore containing the mineral Ulexite ( 3CaO Na2O 5B2O3 16H2O ), along with accessory minerals such as Bentonite, Colemanite, and Probertite.

Tin Oxide is the most widely used and effective opacifying material.
